NORTH COUNTY, SAN DIEGO – Our California Car Accidents Attorneys have learned that two people were injured in an accident yesterday morning on southbound Interstate 15 north of state Route 76 according to the California Highway Patrol. For unknown reasons, traffic came to a stop at that location just before 7:30 a.m. At that time, a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 31-year-old man from Temecula was able to come to a stop. However, a 1993 Nissan Maxima driven by an 18-year-old, also from Temecula, was not able to stop in time.
The Maxima ran into the Malibu. After that, a 2001 Honda 600X motorcycle ran into the Maxima. The motorcycle’s rider was thrown off the Honda and into the dirt of the center divider. The rider was a 38-year-old man from Oceanside. He was taken to the hospital following the accident for treatment of a fractured pelvis and wrist. The driver of the Malibu also suffered injuries in the accident but was not hospitalized. Traffic was backed up after the accident because of curious motorists but the freeway was not closed.
