Construction Worker Suffers Potential Head Injury in Accident

BEN LOMOND, CALIFORNIA – The San Diego car accident attorneys at our firm have learned that a construction flagger for a private company was injured Wednesday morning when he was hit by a car at a road construction site on Highway 9. The four car accident occurred just before 11 a.m. near California Drive. Witnesses said the car that hit the flagger was driving south at approximately 25 miles per hour when it him. The flagger was awake and talking when the authorities arrived. However, there was concern that he had suffered a head injury. Because of that concern, he was flown to Stanford Medical Center for treatment.

The highway was closed for a short time while medics and firefighters tended to the flagger and while officers to investigated the crash. The highway was reopened before noon according to the CHP. The section of the highway where the accident took place was subject to one-way traffic control Wednesday morning while a private company did work in the area. Caltrans does not work in that area. The flagger was directing vehicles for that project at the time of the accident. Details about the drivers and cars in the accident were not yet available.
