PALMDALE, CALIFORNIA – The San Diego personal injury lawyers at our firm have learned that four people were killed in a car crash in Palmdale according to the California Highway Patrol. 22-year-old Stephen Nubani was driving a gold Audi A4 convertible north on 70th Street East around 10:15 p.m. Saturday. Nubani had three passengers in his car that night when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 70th and Avenue N. When Nubani went through the stop sign, his convertible was hit by a Cadillac Deville that was heading east.
Both vehicles flipped over at the time of the accident. Stephen Nubani, 18-year-old Rylan Jernigan, 19-year-old Araceli Alvarez and 22-year-old Cesar Chunga were all killed in the accident. Nubani, from Hollywood, was the only person in the car who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. The other three victims were all from Palmdale and were all wearing seatbelts during the collision. The Cadillac that hit Nubani’s Audi was driven by 44-year-old Kirk Pitts. Pitts suffered a broken ankle and a fractured femur in the accident and was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills for treatment.
