SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – A motorcyclist was killed after her was hit on Interstate 8 early Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol. 36-year-old Eric Sean Enockson was driving his motorcycle near Sunset Cliffs Boulevard around 2 a.m. Saturday. 27-year-old Claudia Herrera was driving a Chevrolet Astro west on the freeway near Sunset Cliffs Boulevard at the same time.
Herrera was going 100 miles per hour when she struck the back of the motorcycle. Enockson was subsequently dragged under the van for quite a long distance as Herrera continued to drive, according to the CHP. She was later stopped and arrested by San Diego police on Point Loma Boulevard. She was booked into Las Colinas jail on suspicion of hit-and-run, driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
