GRASS VALLEY, CALIFORNIA – Two Grass Valley Women were injured Saturday morning in a crash on Highway 20 near the Omega rest area. The California Highway Patrol reported that Sandy Jacobson, 46, was driving eastbound on the highway near Washington Road when she lost control of the car, crossed into the westbound lane and then hit a tree.
Jacobson sustained minor injuries in the accident. Her passenger, 49-year-old Susan Gill was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with lacerations to her head and a serious leg injury. She was, however, able to be treated and released, according to hospital spokeswoman Robin Montgomery. There were no drugs or alcohol involved in the incident. However, the accident was most likely caused because there was ice on the road and Jacobson was driving too fast for conditions.
If you have been injured in a car accident, you may feel like there is no way you can pay for your bills and obtain full recovery. If the accident was a result of someone else’s reckless or negligent driving, you may be able to recover from the responsible party and their insurance company.
