ESCONDIDO, CALIFORNIA – A man was hit by two vehicles and killed early Sunday morning according to police in Escondido. The man was crossing Centre City Parkway at Washington Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. He was first hit by a 1999 white Nissan Frontier pickup heading north.
The man was then thrown to the ground and run over by the truck. A 1999 white Buick LeSabre then also hit the man. He was pronounced dead when authorities arrived at the scene. The man’s identity has not yet been released but it is believed he was between 35 and 45 years old. Both drivers in the accident stopped at the scene. Neither had been drinking. The sobriety of the victim has not yet been determined.
