NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA – 46-year-old Saul Alvarez-Ayala and 29-year-old Augustine Quezada were killed in a car accident on Silverado Trail near Skellenger Lane last Wednesday morning. There was only one survivor in the accident. 22-year-old Jorge Mora lived but sustained moderate injuries in the accident. He is expected to recover.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Quezada was driving south on Silverado Trail Wednesday morning when he lost control of his 2006 Ford Mustang and slid into the path of Mora’s 1991 Honda Accord. Mora was driving north on Silverado Trail at the time. Both Quezada and Alvarez-Ayala sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Mora has been recovering from a liver injury, cuts, scrapes, and bruises at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Quezada had recently become a father and Alvarez-Ayala was about to celebrate his first wedding anniversary before the accident took their lives.
Our hearts go out to the families of those killed in the accident. We also hope that Mora will be able to fully recover from his injuries. The personal injury and wrongful death lawyers at Berman & Riedel, LLP have handled many serious and complicated cases.
