SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – An El Cajon man who died after he got out of one car and was hit by another in Crest was identified Wednesday as 43-year-old Cary Floyd Conner, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Conner was with his girlfriend on Tuesday night around 7:20 p.m. on La Cresta Road near Mountain View Road.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Pennings, the couple had just left a convenience store and were arguing when Conner got out of the 1988 Toyota Corolla and fell on the road. He was hit by a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo being driven by a 60-year-old woman from El Cajon. The driver of the Monte Carlo stopped after the accident. She has not been cited. Connor was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
