CAMPO, CALIFORNIA – Two United States Border Patrol agents suffered minor injuries on Sunday after they were sideswiped by a car. They were walking on the shoulder of state Route 94 at the time according to California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Pennings.
The driver told her father that she was driving eastbound on state Route 94 near Harris Ranch Road around 7:20 p.m. when she heard a bang that sounded like a gunshot. She did not know she had hit anyone until investigators reached her at her home. The driver has had her license for less than 30 days. The CHP is investigating her story.
