SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – A motorcyclist died after being hit by two vehicles on Friday afternoon. The 35-year-old victim was driving his motorcycle south on Florida Drive just after 1 p.m. when a man driving a 2005 Volvo sedan east on Zoo Place attempted to make a left turn onto Florida.
The Volvo hit the motorcyclist and the man fell to the ground. He was then hit by another vehicle doing south on Florida, according to San Diego Police Sergeant Ray Battrick. Both drivers stopped at the scene. One driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The other has not been arrested. The victim died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
