BREA, CALIFORNIA – A driver walked away from a rollover accident Friday morning. Brea police and firefighters were called to the scene in the 500 block of Tamarack Avenue just after 6 a.m. When officer D. Montgomery arrived, he found the SUV on its wheels but with no driver.
The SUV had rolled completely in the northbound lane. The windshield of the Chevy Blazer and two windows were crushed and broken out. Brea Police commercial enforcement officer Mark Kane estimated the Blazer skidded for about 80 feet before rolling over for about 50 feet. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver is still missing.
This solo car accident did not injure anyone but potentially the driver. However, the driver still should not have left the scene of the accident. If ever you are in an accident of any kind, you should stay at the scene until the police arrive. This is especially true if another party is involved.
