RAMONA, CALIFORNIA – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident early Monday morning on a rural road east of Ramona. The rider’s identity has not yet been released. The accident was reporter around 10 a.m. on Old Julian Highway just east of Ramona.

The California Highway Patrol said the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation. One person was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in a second accident that happened at about the same time a half mile east of the motorcycle accident. According to Cal Fire, it wasn’t clear how or whether the accidents were related.
