NORWALK, CALIFORNIA – The southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Norwalk have been reopened after a fatal motorcycle accident Thursday morning. The lanes were closed between Pioneer Boulevard and the 605 Freeway. Traffic was diverted to the 605.
An initial investigation indicated that several motorcyclists were traveling north on the freeway at Pioneer around 4:30 a.m. One of the bikers suddenly flew over the median and onto the southbound lanes, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Krystal Carter. No other information was immediately available.
Our hearts go out to the family of the man killed in this accident. The cause of this accident is not yet known. If it is found that this man died as a result of someone else’s wrongful actions, his surviving family members may have a cause of action in wrongful death.
