Man Hit by Fed Ex Truck While Crossing the Street

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – A 69-year-old man suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung when he was hit by a Fed Ex delivery truck on Thursday, according to police. The man was crossing Federal Boulevard at 50th Street around 9:30 a.m.

He was in the crosswalk when the Fed Ex driver exited a strip mall. The driver did not see the man and hit him, according to San Diego Police. The man was taken to the hospital where he is currently recovering. He is expected to survive. The traffic unit is currently investigating the accident and will make a recommendation as to whether any charges should be filed.

Our thoughts are with the man injured in this accident. Serious fracture and internal injuries can cause lasting harm to the person injured. If you have sustained these kinds of injuries, you will need expert medical care to make a full recovery. If your injuries were caused by someone else’s reckless or negligent behavior, you may be able to obtain a legal judgment ordering the other party to pay your medical expenses.
