CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA – A 22-year-old bicyclist was hit and injured on Monday night. According to Carlsbad Police, the rider was traveling east in the bike land on Cannon Road near Hemingway Drive around 11:30 p.m. when he was hit by a pickup truck.

The man suffered a head wound and a potentially broken leg and was hospitalized. The driver of the truck stopped after hitting the cyclist. There was no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. The driver has not yet been cited but charges may still be filed at a later date.
