OTAY MESA, CALIFORNIA- A driver killed in a one car accident on Britannia Boulevard in Otay Mesa early Saturday has been identified. His name was Rodolfo Leal and he was a 47-year-old man from Bonita. Leal was alone in his 2006 Toyota Corolla when he attempted to pass a car near the intersection of Otay Mesa Road and Britannia.
San Diego Police said he lost control of his car and ran into a traffic pole. Fire personnel were unable to revive Leal and he was pronounced dead at 2:48 a.m., according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
