LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – An accident early Sunday morning on the northbound 405 Freeway killed one man and shut down most lanes, as well as caused moderate traffic delays. At least two vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred around 5:30 a.m. south of the Culver Boulevard exit, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Jose Nunez.
31-year-old Brandon David Brown of Compton was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown, who was alone in his car at the time, was driving north in his white Toyota Tercel, when he hit the back of a dark SUV. It is not yet clear what led to the crash. The driver of the SUV fled the scene of the accident without stopping to help Brown.
