PARAMOUNT, CALIFORNIA – A 12-year-old on a skateboard was killed when he was hit by a car. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Ohnemus said Isidro Diaz was skateboarding on Rosecrans Avenue near Orange Avenue around 9 p.m. Tuesday when he was hit by a vehicle from behind.
A doctor who was driving nearby stopped and performed first aid but Diaz tragically died at the scene. The driver who hit the child has not yet been cited. He was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
