LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA- A La Palma bicyclist was killed in an accident with a pickup truck late Friday night. The 58-year-old man was riding his bike west on Carson Street just before midnight when he collided with a truck. It was being driven the same direction by a 70-year-old man, according to police.
The victim has not yet been identified to the public, pending notification of his family. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later. The driver has also not yet been identified. He was questioned by the police and released.
